Guadalest Fiesta of San Gregorio

 
On the 5th and 6th May 2017 the UNESCO world heritage site of Guadalest will be celebrating the Fiestas of San Gregorio, also known as the Fiestas de la Juventud. This stunning mountain top village which is a great day trip destination, will be busier than ever. There are several parades which include the ringing of the church bells and the release of fire rockets and crackers as well as a barbecue, paella, children's fair, disco and live music.
 
Friday 5th May
12:30 Ringing of the church bells to announce the start of the fiesta.
17:00 Parade by the dolçaina i el tabalet band.
17:30 Activities and a fun fair for the children.
22:00 Barbecue in the car park, 15€ per person (pay in advance at the tourist office before the 3rd May)
00:00 Mobile disco with bucking bronco, mechanical bull.
 
Saturday 6th May
13:00 Parade by the Bataclan de Jalon band accompanied by the ringing of the church bells, fire crackers and rockets.
14:00 Paella in the Car Park provided by the Restaurant Mora, advance booking before the 3rd May on 965 885 087.
16:30-18:30 Children's fun fair.
19:30 Parade of the Bataclan.
20:00 Mass in honour of San Gregorio followed by the Solemn Procession then the traditional blessing of the water.
00:30 Live music in the Car Park.
