Dolores Easter Parades

The Easter Parades in Dolores are worth seeing if you are local to the town. This year, 2017 they start on Sunday 9th April and continue almost daily until Easter Sunday on the 16th April. The processions offer the same as the ones in the cities and other places such as Crevillent and Orihuela where the celebrations have been award International Tourist Interest status, just on a much smaller scale.
 
Palm Sunday 9th April Domingo de Ramos
11:30 Blessing of the Palms followed by the Palm Procession along Calle Labradores.
20:00 Procession with the statues of San Juan Evangelista and the Virgen Dolorosa.
 
Holy Tuesday 11th April Martes Santo
21:30 Procession with the statues of Nuestro Padre Jesus Cautivo and Maria Santisima de la Salud.
 
Holy Wednesday 12th April Miercoles Santo
21:30 Procession with the statues of San Pedro Arrepentido, La Veronica and Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazeno.
 
Holy Thursday 13th April Jueves Santo
23:00 Procession with the statue of Santo Cristo del Silencio.
 
Good Friday 14th April Viernes Santo
09:30 Procession of the Encuentro with the statues La Veronica, San Juan Evangelista, Virgen Dolorosa, Santa Maria Magdalena, San Pedro Arrepentido and Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno.
20:30 Procession of the Entierro with the statues Cruz de los Labradores, Santa Maria Magdalena, Nuestro Padre Jesus Cautivo, Maria Santisima de la Salud, San Pedro Arrepentido, La Veronica, Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno, San Juan Evangelista, Virgen Dolorosa, Santo Sepulcro and the Virgen de la Soledad.
 
Easter Sunday 16th April Domingo de Pascua
11:00 Easter Mass, followed by the Procession of the Resurreccion with the statues of Santa Maria Magdalena, San Juan Evangelista and the Virgen Dolorosa.
