Rojales Easter Parades

The Easter Parades in Rojales are well worth seeing if you are local to the town. This year, 2015 they start on Friday 27th March and continue almost daily until Easter Sunday on the 5th April. The processions offer the same as the ones in the cities and other places such as Crevillent and Orihuela where the celebrations have been award International Tourist Interest status, just on a much smaller scale.

Friday 27th March Viernes de Dolores

  • 22:00 Procession of the Via Crucis, starting from the church Iglesia de San Pedro Apostol in the Plaza de Iglesia

Palm Sunday 29th March Domingo de Ramos

  • 11:30 Procession of the Palms, starting form the Lo Torre neighbourhood along Consitution, Cortes Valencianas, Valentin Fuster, Gratiniano, Baches, Francisco Serrano, Puente de Carlos III, San Antonio, Plaza de Espana, Joaquin Gonzalez finishing on Paseo Iglesia.

  • 10:00-14:00 Exhibition of the statues used in the Easter Parades at the Iglesia de San Pedro Apostol
  • 11:30 Procession Encuentro along Joaquin Gonzales, Callejon de la Iglesia, Rafael araez, Plaza de Espana where the other statues join the procession and continue along San Antonio, Malecon del Carmen, Jose Zaragoza Senent finishing on Paseo.
