Benissa Sant Antoni Fair

Benissa will be hosting the Fira I Porrat de Sant Antoni from the 11th to the 27th January 2019. The programme includes the traditional animal blessing, an animal parade and market, wine and tapas tasting, classic car exhibition and a car market as well as a Medieval Market.
 
Saturday 12th January
11:00 Transporting of the Pine tree and logs by horses from the Plaza del Portal along Calle Purissima to the Plaza Rei Jaume I, followed by the making of the bonfire
19:30 Traditional Dancing in the Plaza Rei Jaume I
20:30 Burning of the Bonfire in the Plaza Rei Jaume I
 
Sunday 13th January
10:30 Opening of the Collectors market in the Municipal Marquee in the Parque D. Joaquin Piera
12:00 Paella Competition and the Tasting of Local Products in the Parque D. Joaquin Piera
12:30 Parade of the Horses and Carriages and the Animals which have been registered for the blessing ceremony along Calles Dr. Fleming, Dra. Asland, Dr. Ramón y Cajal, Alacant, Pare Andrés, Pl. Rei Jaume I and Paseo Dolors Piera.
13:15 Blessing of the animals in front of the Iglesia Parroquial.
