Javea and Gata de Gorgos
The inland village of Gata de Gorgos is famous locally for its wicker making, and as you spend a few hours exploring this charming village you will see many shops selling products made of wicker from the simple table mat to a full garden suite of furniture. A good choice of tapas bars and a friendly welcome awaits visitors here and we include it as our first stop on the Day Out Jalon Valley.
Javea is very popular all year round, but in summer the town really comes alive. Charming villas stand proud on the surrounding mountains, and the street market is always busy. The town is divided into three areas; the historic old part, the marina area and finally down around L'Arenal beach. A great time will be had in Javea with its stunning coastline and historic centre.
