El Plantio Golf Course

Par 72 championship Course El Plantio is, quite simply a delight. It's challenging fairways and abundant water and bunker hazards are enough to keep any level of golfer happy. The website has a great course guide, where you'll clearly see the challenges that await you. The 17th is a firm favourite with all players. El Plantio is only a few kilometres away from Alicante airport, so if you've got a late flight it is an ideal course to play!

Ideas for the Non Golfer

  • While the golfers play, you can shop!! There is the large L'Aljub Shopping Mall on the outskirts of the city of Elche, with all the high street favourites as well as the prestigious El Cortes Ingles department store and one of Europe’s largest shoe factory outlets.
  • Visit the city centre and explore all that Elche has to offer, like the archaeological or the Huerto del Cura with the famous Imperial Palm. You can even climb the bell tower of the main cathedral called the Basilica de Santa Maria.
  • Take the short drive to the beaches, promenades and marina in the coastal town of Santa Pola, and enjoy a paddle in the sea, walk along the promenade or a drink at the marina.
