The magnificent San Juan Hogueras celebrations in the city of Alicante dominates the Calendar of Events during the next two weeks. It is a fabulous fiesta with so much to enjoy. The Mascletas shake the city everyday at 14:00 from Saturday 15th to Monday 24th, the statues are placed in the streets at midnight on Thursday 20th, the beautiful and fragrant Flower Parades happen on Friday 21st and Saturday the 22nd, and the International Folk Parade is on Sunday the 23rd. The main night of the Cremá starts at midnight on Sunday the 24th with a massive firework called a Palmeral and is followed by the burning of all, except the winning, statues. The fiesta is finished with 5 nights of amazing fireworks on the San Juan beach from Tuesday 25th to Saturday 29th.

Enjoy a day out on Tabarca Island next Tuesday, the coach trip includes the Ferry from Santa Pola. EuroTourGuide has 3 Coach Tours to the excellent Alicante Hogueras Fiesta! On Friday 21st we will be enjoying the Ninots in the streets in the morning and the Mascletas in the afternoon. On Sunday 23rd we will visit in the evening, so you can view the Ninots by night and also be entertained by the International Folk Parade. On Friday 28th spend a lovely evening in Alicante topped off with the Beach Firework display at midnight. There are just 4 rooms left for our 3 night coach tour Madrid, the capital of Spain, in September and we have just add the Virgen del Carmen Fiesta with beach fireworks in Santa Pola on the 16th July. The Moors and Christians Fiesta starts in Rojales with the Chupinazo, confetti filled rockets, and the Mascletas on Sunday. The Moors and Christians Fiesta continues in Benejuzar with the Retreta Parade on Saturday and the Ribbon Race on Sunday. The San Juan Fiesta continues in Catral with the Grand Fancy Dress Parade on Saturday night, and there will be a Medieval Market all weekend in Santa Pola. The Coronation of the Fiesta Queens will take place in Torrevieja on Saturday for the Sagrado Corazon Fiesta.

Costa Blanca North

The 9th Tapas and Pincho Route starts on Saturday in Benidorm, with 21 Pinchos to try at a cost of 2€ each. The build up continues for the Hogueras Fiesta in Javea, and the 5th Mountain Rally can be enjoyed on Saturday on the CV755 to Guadalest. The Fiesta del Cristo takes place on Ondara with the Flower Offering on Saturday and the Solemn Procession on Sunday. The Moors and Christians Fiesta takes place in Moraira with the Moors arriving by boat on Friday evening, Battling on the beach on Saturday night, and the Grand Parade of both the Moors and Christians starting at 20:00 on Sunday.

The annual Mellon Fiesta can be enjoyed all weekend in Torre Pacheco, and the summer long Feria y Fiesta starts in San Pedro del Pinatar with the Presentation of the Fiesta Queens. The Exquisita Tapas Route continues in Murcia with 29 specially prepared Tapas to try, and the programme of Free Guided Visits every weekend continues throughout the Region of Murcia.
