The build up to Christmas gets into full flow as the Calendars become packed with a fantastic array of festive fun! This weekend there will be a large Medieval Market in Caravaca de la Cruz, and a large Christmas Fair in Jijona, famous for the Turron Christmas delicacies. Remember that both Thursday the 6th, Constitution Day, and Saturday the 8th, Immaculate Conception Fiesta, are Public Holidays throughout Spain.

The 31st Puppet Festival finishes on Sunday in Alicante city, the miniature Trains will be chugging around the miniature track in Torrellano on Sunday morning, and there will be a Roman Themed Market in the Castle in Santa Pola from Thursday to Sunday. In Monforte del Cid there will be a General Moors and Christians Parade, Solemn Procession and Fireworks on Saturday. The Inmaculada Fiesta finishes on Saturday in Torrevieja with a Solemn Procession and Firework display, and in Callosa de Segura the 3rd Cooking Pot and Gin Tonic Tapas Route will take place from Thursday to Sunday. The Christmas Programmes start, Nativity Scenes will be inaugurated on Friday in Elche and Guardamar del Segura, and in Alicante City the festive Ice Rink, Giant Toboggan and Casa de Santa Clause can be visited, all in their new location near the Bull Ring. There is a Christmas Market in Daya Vieja from Thursday to Sunday, a Christmas Fair in Pinar de Campoverde on Saturday, and the 12th Festive Market in Rojales from Friday to Sunday..

The 6th Rice Menus finish on Sunday in Denia and the month long 4th Tapas Route continues in El Campello. In Denia there will be both an Antique Toy Market and a Medieval Market, and in Benissa the monthly Ecological Market will take place on Saturday morning. There will be a Christmas Market in Calpe, and the large Christmas Fair from Thursday to Sunday in Jijona, famous for the Turron Christmas delicacies made from locally grown Almonds.
The San Francisco Fiesta finishes on Saturday in San Javier with a Carnival Fancy Dress Parade, and the San Javier Tapas Route finishes on Friday. The Virgen del Castillo Fiesta start in Yecla, with the Solemn Procession and Fireworks Display on Saturday evening. The large Medieval Market, with some 200 stalls takes place from Thursday to Sunday in Caravaca de la Cruz. San Pedro del Pinatar will be hosting their 7th Christmas Fair all weekend, there will be a Christmas Fair in La Manga, and the month long 34th Artisan Christmas Market starts on Wednesday the 5th in Murcia, with some 70 stores selling a range of handmade goods.
